It could happen. It’s crazy, but it could happen. And it’s not the craziest idea yet. Bill wants Joe Biden to become Secretary of State and me to become Vice President on the ticket with President Obama in 2012.
It could happen. It won’t, but it could.
The latest woman to jump on my bandwagon is Senator Kristen Gillibrand of New York. She was elected to my old senate seat. She’s blonde. She’s smart.
Gillibrand would make an excellent vice president, but two blondes on the ticket wouldn’t go over so well, especially when one of them looks as old as me, and the other looks as young as Gillibrand.
What I love about all this intrigue is the certain uncertainty. I told my staff, who were encouraging me to run with President Obama this year…
After 20 years, and it will be 20 years, of being on the high wire of American politics and all of the challenges that come with that, it would probably be a good idea to just find out how tired I am.
See? That sounds like I’m not interested. Or, not. I could be interested. Maybe.
It doesn’t matter. Joe Biden will never be on the Democratic ticket for president in 2016. If I have to come out of retirement to stop that nonsense I’ll do it.
