Circling the bandwagon

Patti Doyle was just here and said the latest polls for Iowa don’t look good. Obama is gaining momentum, especially among young voters. I told Bill a month ago that I should have become the ‘candidate for youth‘ and forget all that experience and change crap. No one believes that anyway.

I’m worried about Iowa. Not that everyone shouldn’t be. This place is cold, desolate and unforgiving, like some kind of faraway North Pole Canadian tundra with signs in English and dead corn sticking out of the ground absolutely freakin’ everywhere.

What’s with these people?

For months it looked like a two horse race, me and Mitt Romney, far ahead with only the home stretch, just as God intented. Then, out of nowhere, Mike Huckabee becomes a Republican Will Rogers and Barack Obama becomes a chocolate Kennedy and Iowa’s caucus voters start to swoon and suddenly I’m behind and heading south faster than Jenna Jameson at a Shriner’s convention.

I do not understand this turn of events. What happened to my precious lead? I picked out a new pantsuit and shoes just for the victory speech. Damn.

It’s tough to get anointed if you’re behind in the polls.
